In 1996 the Disorient label was born as an offshoot of the Mr Bongo label. Disorient was created to showcase the best tunes coming out of Japan, in particular focusing on Japanese and Latin house. Since then the label has produced countless 12" and albums to much acclaim, including many absolute classics such as Kaori 'Good Life' and Dimitri from Paris' 'Toujour's L'Amore' and Masters at Work remix of 'Atmosfear'.
In 2003 Disorient celebrated it’s five-year anniversary with the best of collection ‘Ichi’
After it’s success we have its follow up a selection of Japanese-related future classics, exclusive joints and sort after gems in the form of ‘Dois’ (Two in Portuguese).
All tracks have either no release or limited Japan only exposure and we feel justice to give this music the exposure it deserves.
