The staff pick this week comes from hip-hop head and Mr Bongo designer, Rob Crespo. Rob's chosen the powerhouse Galt MacDermot, however not just one, but three from his back catalogue — 'Up From The Basement', 'More From The Basement' and 'Ripped Open By Metal Explosions'. We've got limited number of deadstock copies available at Mr Bongo. 

I first heard of Galt Macdermot from the soundtrack to 'Hair'. Since then I've been a huge fan of his stuff. There's so many great tracks from him that are ripe for sampling, but in my opinion so far he's been massively undersampled (apart from a couple of huge tracks out there).  

These are outtakes that didn’t make whole albums. One for the hip hop heads and producers out there. Seriously funky, wicked tracks.
